RULES AND RECOMMENDATIONS

 

The tickets to access Monasterio de Piedra must be purchased at authorized sales points. This ticket entitles you to enjoy a free tour through the Historic Garden Park and a free tour through the 13th century Cistercian Monastery dependencies, the day you visit.

  • Due to its characteristics as a natural space, the Historic Garden Park is not completely accessible for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility, as well as for baby carriages. There are sections of stairs and slopes that complicate the path. Also, if you suffer from cardiorespiratory problems there are areas to which access is not recommended. Please keep this in mind if you plan to visit the Historic Garden Park in any of these cases.
  • Visitors traveling in a wheelchair will have free admission to the Historic Garden Park and Monastery dependencies. Also, one accompanying person will have a 50% discount on their ticket. This courtesy cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
  • Information on the different types of tickets, fares, promotions and conditions is available on the official website of Monasterio de Piedra (monasteriopiedra.com), as well as in the ticket office area and in all authorized sales points. The promotions and discounts applied at Monasterio de Piedra are not cumulative with each other, except for those in which it is expressly established.
  • Children aged under 14 cannot visit the Historic Garden Park or the Monastery’s dependencies without adult supervision.
  • Monasterio de Piedra reserves the right of admission and expulsion from its facilities, according to the corresponding legal and regulatory provisions.
  • For your safety, and for the full enjoyment of the facilities, you must only circulate through the recommended itineraries within the Historic Garden Park, always respecting the existing signage.
  • We recommend you visit using sports shoes or a shoe that holds your feet well, it is not recommended to do the visit with flip flops, sandals, open shoes or high heels.
  • For reasons of hygiene and safety, it is not allowed to access the Park with food. It is also forbidden to drink or eat in the Cistercian Monastery, as well as in other areas where the prohibition is expressly indicated. It is not allowed either to enter the Historic Garden Park, the Cistercian Monastery dependencies, the Hotel, Restaurants or shop, barefooted or barechested.
  • In accordance with current legislation, smoking is prohibited in all enclosed spaces within the Monasterio de Piedra and in all those spaces that, even outdoors, are marked as smoke-free areas.
  • Do not throw coins into the river, as it affects the ecosystem. Do not pick up rocks, plants, animals or architectural elements either.
  • Monasterio de Piedra has an area for free parking of vehicles. Monasterio de Piedra will not be liable for any damage that may occur to them, including objects inside the parked vehicle.
  • In exceptional circumstances (among others: safety, weather, and technical or operational reasons), Monasterio de Piedra may be forced to modify the opening and closing hours schedules of the Historic Garden Park, the Monastery’s dependencies, Restaurants and Store. There will be no refunds for it.
  • Monasterio de Piedra reserves the right to modify these Rules in order to guarantee our visitors a better use and enjoyment of the Historic Garden Park and all the Monastery’s facilities.
  • Access to dogs with leash is allowed in the Historic Garden Park. The space that houses the different dependencies of the Cistercian monastery can only be accessed by dogs in a carrier or a backpack.
  • According to current regulations, Monasterio de Piedra informs that the use of drones and aircrafts piloted by remote control is not allowed in the whole Tourist Complex.
  • The realization of professional video and photo reports is not allowed in the whole enclosure, without the express authorization of Monasterio de Piedra S.A.
